Subject: First VEGGIE Meeting!

Greetings Veggie people!

Our first meeting of the semester will be TODAY, TUESDAY the 23rd of September, in the McCaffery Room of the Campus Center, at 7:30pm. Vegan brownies will be served!!

This meeting is an introductory/brainstorming meeting, for all of us to meet each other, and brainstorm projects for the year.

A few things we have on the agenda for the year:

--tabling in Valentine, to spread awareness of food and the issues surrounding it.

--producing a packet listing veggie-friendly restaurants in the area

--bringing in veggie-related speakers a few times a semester, inviting the whole campus to hear them.

--working with Valentine to increase the veggie options, and make it more veggie-friendly, including pulling together the ingredients of all their standard meals in a booklet for student use.

--educating the campus about their eating options via fliers and table tents. (no preaching, just the facts!)

--hosting approximately two vegan dinners a semester, open to the entire campus.

--organizing 5College events, to meet the veggie-interested people of all the area colleges, and dining with them.

--the occasional protest (World Anti-MacDonald's day is coming up!) for those who like to participate in such things.

--anything else you would like to do!
