Gifts to the Library

The Amherst College Library welcomes and encourages monetary and in-kind gifts, relying upon donors to help preserve, support and expand the extraordinary collection and services available to students and scholars from the Amherst community and beyond.

Gifts of materials can enhance existing collections or form the basis for building collections in new areas of scholarly interest. We will consider all formats of research materials, including books, journals, sound and video recordings, photographs, and manuscripts, but are unable to accept all offered materials. For more information or assistance please contact Susan Sheridan, Head of Technical Services, 413-542-2850.

Monetary gifts - made directly or through the Friends of the Amherst College Library - may be directed to a variety of uses, including the purchase of materials for the collection, the delivery of innovative services, or the support of special program areas. Becoming a member of the Friends of the Amherst College Library supports and enhances the work of the Library in a variety of important ways.
