AltaVista Can restrict to images or search on image:keyword. Restricting to images displays results as thumbnails, but image:keyword can retrieve additional items.

Berkeley's ImageFinder Maintained by University of California at Berkeley, this site provides search access to multiple databases of images on the web.

National Archives and Records Administration Digital copies of selected textual documents, photographs, maps, and sound recordings. Although ARC contains more than 390,800 descriptions and 126,000 digital copies, it represents only a limited portion of NARA's vast holdings.

Five College Transit Maps and Schedules

TerraServer Microsoft site with USGS topographical maps with Digital Raster Graphics (DRG) interface. Also has relief mapsand DOQs.

Geographic Names Information Server contains information about almost 2 million physical and cultural geographic features in the United States. The Federally recognized name of each feature described in the database is identified, and references are made to a feature's location by State, county, and geographic coordinates. Also, links to the Foreign Geographic Names Database.
