Jeffs Post Seventh-Place Finish at Skidmore Fall Classic

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The Amherst College men's golf team closed out its fall campaign on Wednesday, posting a seventh-place finish at the Skidmore Fall Classic Tournament, hosted by Skidmore College. The Jeffs shot a one-day total of 324, led by junior Drew Russ (Maui, HI), who fired a round of 77 to tie for 12th overall.
Amherst senior Andy Bruns (Eaton, OH) tied for 15th with a score of 78, while classmate David Litt (Bethesda, MD) tied for 30th with an 84. Rookie Will Collins (Edina, MN) tied for 33rd with an 85 to round out the scoring for the Jeffs, while classmate Chris Valentine (Topsfield, MA) fired a 92 to place 40th.
Skidmore College topped the field with a combined score of 303, led by sophomore Toby Spector (Waterville, ME), who shot a 71 on the day to capture medalist honors.
