Amherst's Wohl Named First-Team NSCAA/adidas All-New England West Region

AMHERST, MA - Having already earned First-Team All-NESCAC honors, Amherst College junior Michael Wohl (Northampton, MA/Northampton HS) was named First-Team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas All-New England West Region. This marks the second straight year he as earned all-region honors, collecting second-team plaudits as a sophomore.

A two-time all-conference honoree as well, Wohl led the Jeffs and finished eighth in the NESCAC with seven goals, all of which came in conference play. He also tied for ninth in the NESCAC with 14 points. Wohl was a huge part of Amherst's late-season success, posting a hat trick, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 win at Colby, and tallying both goals in Amherst's dramatic 2-1 victory over visiting Middlebury. As a sophomore, he tied for the conference lead with 10 goals and finished second in points (23). He also tallied six goals and two assists to tie for 12th in the NESCAC with 14 points as a rookie.
