2005 Amherst Softball Milestones
TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Finished 14-12-1 (4-4-0 NESCAC West), but fell from playoff contention on the last weekend of the season.
- First in the NESCAC in opposing batting average (.180), fewest runs allowed (63) and fewest hits allowed (121). Second in earned run average (1.65), batters struck out (188), fewest walks allowed (40) and fewest earned runs allowed (43). Third in fielding percentage (.951).

Junior Pitcher Miya Warner (Berkeley, CA)
- First Team All-NESCAC.
- First-Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District.
- NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
- First in the NESCAC in earned run average (1.01), opposing batting average (.133), fewest hits allowed (45), fewest runs allowed (20), fewest earned runs allowed (14), fewest doubles allowed (5) and fewest triples allowed (0). Second in batters struck out (130), third in wins (11).
Junior First Baseman Laura Trigeiro (Reston, VA)
- NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
- Fourth in the NESCAC in fielding double plays (6), 43rd in batting average (.294).
Junior Outfield Rachel Hoerger (Oakland, CA)
- Second Team All-NESCAC.
- NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
- Forty-third in the nation in toughest to strikeout (36.5 K avg).
- Forty-second in the NESCAC in batting average (.301).
- Struck out just twice in 80 plate appearances, committed just one error in the field.
Sophomore Pitcher Hilary Little (Kentfield, CA)
- Thirteenth in the NESCAC in earned run average (1.76).
First-Year Catcher Elizabeth Neckes (Dover, MA)
- Second Team All-NESCAC.
- Fourth in the NESCAC in fielding percentage (.994).
First-Year Second Baseman Ralina Shaw (Tumwater, WA)
- Twenty-eighth in the nation in doubles per game (.41).
- First in the NESCAC in doubles (11), 33rd in batting average (.313).
First-Year Pitcher Sam Miller (Newton, MA)
- Third in the NESCAC in games finished (9) and games in relief (10).
