2005 Amherst Women's Lacrosse Milestones
TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Finished the season at 12-4.
- With an 7-2 conference record, earned the No. 3 seed and a first-round home game in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, where they downed Tufts University 15-5 in the quarterfinals and Bowdoin College 13-12 in the semifinals before falling to Middlebury College 10-2 in the conference title game.
- Received an at-large bid to their fifth straight and seventh overall NCAA Tournament.
- Claimed the outright Little Three Championship with regular-season wins over Williams and Wesleyan University.
- Finished thirteenth in the nation in caused turnovers (13.5/gm), sixteenth in winning percentage (.750).
- Named one of 47 "Academic Squads" by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), signifying a team grade-point average of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale.

Senior Attacker Ashley Harmeling (N. Reading, MA)
- NCAA Division III IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
- First-Team IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-America.
- First-Team womenslacrosse.com All-America.
- First-Team IWLCA All-New England.
- First-Team ECAC New England All-Star.
- First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District 1.
- First-Team All-NESCAC.
- Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America.
- Named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, awarded annually to juniors or seniors with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
- Named NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending April 4, tallying five goals and an assist in a 14-11 win at Springfield College, followed by a four-goal, four-assist performance in a 13-8 win at Williams.
- Named NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending April 11, tallying four goals, including the game-winner, and an assist in a 12-9 win over Trinity, and five goals and an assist in a 13-9 victory over Colby.
- Eleventh in the nation in caused turnovers (2.87/gm).
- Second in the NESCAC in points per game (4.27/gm) and tied for second in points (64). Third in goals per game (3.07), fourth in goals (46), eighth in assists per game (1.20) and tied for 10th in assists (18).
- Co-Winner of the Howard Mossman Mill Trophy,
presented annually to the member of the Amherst College senior class who has brought, during his or her four years, the greatest honor in athletics to his or her alma mater.
- Tallied 121 goals and 191 points in just two seasons at Amherst.
- Graduates with single-season school records in goals (75), assists (52) and points (127).
Senior Co-Captain Goalkeeper Liv D'Ambrosio (Farmington, CT)
- Named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, awarded annually to juniors or seniors with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
- Fourth in the NESCAC in saves per game (9.44), seventh in goals against average (9.33) and save percentage (.500).
Senior Attacker Cate Smith (St. James, MD)
- Named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, awarded annually to juniors or seniors with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.

Sophomore Attacker Alyssa Briody (Hopewell, NJ)

- Named NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending April 18, tallying five goals and two assists in a 15-8 win over Connecticut College, and four goals and an assist in a 12-11 win over Wesleyan.
- Third in the NESCAC in assists (22) and assists per game (1.38/gm). Seventh in points per game (3.44/gm) and ninth in points (55).
