Amherst's Hill, Chute, Pruzansky Named ESPN The Magazine Women's Soccer Academic All-District November 3 , 2005 Hill has been a standout defender for the Jeffs for the past four seasons, guiding them to a NESCAC-best 0.69 goals against average and seven shutouts this fall. She and Chute have helped make the Jeff defense one of the best in the region in recent memory, finishing 16th in the nation in goals against average (0.56) in 2004, and posting an astounding 23 shutouts over the past three seasons. Chute joined the defense in 2003 after converting from a forward and helping the team to a NCAA Regional Finals appearance. Pruzansky has had a breakout season this fall, tying for the NESCAC lead with seven assists and posting a team-best 13 points. She earned NESCAC Player of the Week for the week of October 24, tallying points in a trio of conference victories for the Jeffs, including a pair of assists in a hard-fought 2-1 win over visiting Middlebury. The Jeffs stand at 8-3-3 and await word of a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. |
