Jeffs Rebound with 3-0 Win at Bates

LEWISTON, ME - The Amherst College volleyball team rebounded from Saturday's
conference loss at Tufts with a 30-21, 30-15, 30-28 NESCAC victory at
Bates College on Sunday. The Jeffs moved to 12-7 overall and 3-3 in conference
play, while Bates dropped to 5-17 (1-5 NESCAC).
Junior Kristin Quinn (Pacific Palisades, CA) led the Jeff offense with
13 kills, while sophomore Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, NJ) posted 10 kills
and 10 digs, and sophomore Whitney Kouvaris (Jacksonville, FL) and rookie
Alison Munzer (Los Angeles, CA) tallied seven kills apiece. First-year
setter Sara Heller (La Canada, CA) dished out 35 assists, sophomore Julie
Berkley (Fullerton, CA) had four service aces and 12 digs and junior
Laura Golden (Boca Raton, FL) had a pair of aces and a team-high 14 digs.
Amherst returns to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. against visiting NESCAC
archrival Williams College.
