Jeffs Fall in Overtime of National Consolation Game
March 17 - The Amherst College women's hockey team came back from a 3-1 deficit to Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the National Consolation game to send the contest into overtime, but was unable to hold on for a third-place finish in the tournament. The 4-3 loss marks the first time all season the Jeffs have not been triumphant in an overtime game. Full Story
Amherst Falls Short of Trip to National Championship Game
March 16 - The Amherst College women's hockey team came incredibly close to handing Plattsburgh State its first loss of the season, but the Jeffs dropped a heartbreaker in the national semifinal game, 3-2. March 16 - The Amherst College women’s hockey team continues to be recognized for its amazing 2006-07 campaign, as head coach Jim Plumer is among the finalists for American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year (Division III), while first-year goaltender Krystyn Elek has been named to the Division III RBK Women’s Hockey All-America Second Team by the AHCA. March 4 - The Amherst College women's hockey team won its first ever NESCAC Championship this afternoon in a triple-overtime thriller over Middlebury. Amherst goaltender Krystyn Elek made 65 saves in the win. Full Story
