Amherst Blanks Wellesley, Falls to William Smith 5-4By Justin Long January 27, 2007 AMHERST, MA – The Amherst College women’s squash team closed out the weekend by blanking Wellesley College 9-0 in Saturday’s first game and nearly pulling out another victory against William Smith College in the second game, but the Jeffs fell 5-4 to the visiting Herons to move to 5-8 on the season. Amherst had no problems with Wellesley, as seven Lord Jeffs needed just three games to pull off the victory against the 25th-ranked Blue.
