2006 Amherst Volleyball Milestones

TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Finished the season with a 28-5 overall record (7-3 in conference play), the 12th best winning percentage in the nation.
• Went on a 14-game winning streak from September 20th to October 14th.
• Wrapped up the regular season in a four-way tie for second place in the conference standings and given the No. 3 seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament - their 14th straight postseason appearance.
• Defeated sixth-seeded Trinity in the quarterfinals, second-seeded Wesleyan in the semifinals, and top-seeded Williams in the finals to win the NESCAC Championship.
• Earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, defeating Emmanuel College in the opening round but falling to MIT in the second round.
• Led the NESCAC in blocks per game (3.18), hitting percentage (0.305) and overall win percentage (0.848); finished fourth in kills per game (14.13) and assists per game (12.09).
• Finished 3rd in the nation in hitting percentage (0.305) and 8th in blocks per game (3.18).

• NESCAC Player of the Week for week of September 8th
• NESCAC All-Academic
• Led the NESCAC in hitting percentage (0.464) and blocks (209); finished 3rd in kills per game (3.85)
• Finished 2nd in the nation in hitting percentage (0.464) and 3rd in blocks per game (1.79)
