Debate
Purpose
The debate team enriches the Amherst campus by promoting discussion and debate. We train in competitive parliamentary debate, and send students to intercollegiate tournaments about once a week. We also organize on-campus events, including a yearly tournament with participants from schools around the country, and a speech competition for Amherst College students. We also plan to offer an intramural tournament for AC students.
