ACOC sponsored a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park in June 2000. Adrienne Socci, Michael Niemack, and Sam Rice-Townsend led 12 Amherst students into the Rockies.

We started on the West side of the continental divide. After acclimating (and waiting for lost luggage to arrive) we made our way toward the CD. We left the trail to avoid a steep icy snow field, and found ourselves above a big valley.

After we made it over the great divide, some of the ladies needed to send a little love back to the Atlantic.

The guys weren't about to let them have all the fun though (especially the one on the right ;-).

When we all made it back to camp, Hallison did her best to teach us how to dance.

She said, "Only one foot can touch the ground. Use the other one to kick your partner's leg out until they fall down." Ahh, almost as good as TAP.

Needless to say it was getting a little crazy at the homestead by that point in the trip.

We hiked part way up Long's Peak (one of Colorado's 14'ers) to the Keyhole on our last big day. It was beautiful.

THANKS FOR A GREAT TRIP!!!
