	Welcome to the Amherst College baseball website. This page is updated during the season with stats, scores, and other information. Amherst pounded out 16 hits and 7 runs against AIC Wednesday afternoon but it was not enough to win as the Jeffs fell 10-7. The Jeffs now stand at 19-9 on the season. There is a possible doubleheader left with Colby, but otherwise Amherst waits to hear for a bid for the NCAA tournament. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when so many good things begin again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings with anticipation, excitement, and contentment beyond description. Then, it leaves you to face the fall and winter alone. You rely on it to buffer the passage of time, counting on it to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive.
