A number of student organization offices are located in the Campus Center: Social Council, Amherst College Program Board, Outreach, La Causa, Asian Students Association, Student Government Organization, WAMH radio station, The Amherst Student newspaper and The Women's Center.
The Campus Center is also equipped with wi-fi, so you can check your email while sipping a cup of Schwemm's coffee or while you're waiting for your meeting to start.
To reserve a room at the Campus Center please include the following information and email it to: hmpolson - at - amherst.edu and include:
- date or dates
- beginning and end time
- any additional time needed to set-up or break down
- room you are requesting (and a back-up choice)
- event name
- student group, department or office sponsoring the event
- a contact name, phone number and email address
The Friedmann Room (formerly the Front Room)
The Campus Center Freidmann Room has hosted hundreds of events from major concerts to comedy performances to formal dinners. This multi-purpose facility provides an intimate setting and is among the most popular on campus. Your group can set the room up to be theater-style with chairs or open without any chairs. The Freidmann Room has a full sound system including microphones, CD player, cassette player, and portable TV/VCR.

The Gameroom
The Campus Center Gameroom is located on the first floor and offers a free play CD jukebox, billiards, foosball, air hockey, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stand up video game and table tennis. There are also vending machines. Gameroom equipment is free for Amherst College ID holders and $5.00 per hour for non-Amherst ID holders.

Conference Rooms
All of our conference rooms have a large central table and can hold up to 12 people comfortably. We can provide an easel, chalk board or TV/VCR for any of the rooms as well.
Room 103 is located in the southwest corner of the first floor.
Room 201 is located in the southwest corner of the second floor.
Room 207 is located on the north side of the second floor. This room also has a TV built into the wall that is hooked into the campus cable system.

Sitting Rooms
The two sitting rooms are an ideal space for students to study in. The rooms are available to any person(s) throughout the time that the Campus Center is open. These spaces are not reservable.

Robert Appleby Ward '57 Memorial Room
Robert Appleby Ward '57 Memorial Room is a sitting room located on the second floor. It is named in recognition of the generous gifts to Amherst College from family, classmates, students, and friends, in loving memory of Bob Ward, a true "gentleman of the College."

Mail Room
The Post Office is host to all student and student organization mailboxes. They offer a full range of postal services including stamp sales, Priority Mail, and other package sending (up to 75 pounds). Click here for Post Office hours.

The McCaffrey Room
The Michael J. McCaffrey '83 Memorial Room is located on the first floor of the Campus Center. The room can accommodate up to 30 people comfortably. It has chairs, side tables and couches and is often used for tea breaks and small socials. The McCaffrey Room is named in recognition of the generous gifts to Amherst College from the family, friends and wife of Michael J. McCaffrey who were inspired by his love for Amherst. A dedicated student, campus leader and athlete, he died tragically in an airline crash at the age of 24.

Campus Center Theater
The Campus Center Theater is host to FLICS, a student group that provides a popular film weekly at no charge to Amherst students. The Theater, which seats up to 88 people, can also be used for lectures and has a complete sound system. The projection system can accommodate VHS tapes, DVD's, tv cable and also can link with up to two computers.

Schwemms Coffee House
Schwemm's Gourmet Coffeehouse offers various types of specialty drinks along with a full compliment of sandwiches, salads and entree items. Students can use AC Dollars to purchase items at Schwemm's. The dual seating area can accommodate approximately 75 people at one time and also has a fireplace and an e-mail station.

Atrium
The atrium space is two-stories high and is used by student groups and vendors for advertisement space. There is a grand piano in one corner, leaving three corners of the atrium to be reserved. Bustling with students during the school year, the atrium is the perfect spot for promoting any event.
