ServicesThe Campus Center serves as the "hub of activity" on the campus. It houses student organization offices, a multi-purpose programming room, a theater, meeting rooms, lounges, a game room, campus post office, and Schwemm's coffeehouse. The Campus Center hosts programs planned by many of student organizations. The Student Activities Office provides advisement, direction, and leadership training to the Amherst College Program Board (ACPB), Amherst College Social Council, Student Government Organization, Student Finance Committee, WAMH Radio Station, Olio Yearbook, Amherst College Hunger Action Committee, and to the over 100 recognized student organizations at Amherst College. Here is a complete and up to date listing of student organizations registered for the 2006-2007 school year. The list will be updated as new and returning groups register with the Student Activities Office. To register a new organization or re-register a returning group (which is required annually of all groups ), please pick up a form in front of Campus Center, Room 107A (the forms will be available on-line soon). The Campus Center plans the yearly Interterm program and assists with the advertising support for student sponsored programs that are held in the Center. We also maintain a current resource library of leadership and programming materials.
