Study Abroad--Approved Programs
This is a list of study abroad programs and foreign universities which the Registrar has approved for Amherst College credit in the last several years. This list is revised each semester and was last edited in January 2008. When browsing programs, you may wish to check out evaluations written by Amherst students who have had direct contact with the programs; they are grouped by country.
(X) denotes an Exchange Program, which requires students to meet with the appropriate academic department.
[P] denotes "provisional" approval. Students are encouraged to attend, but the college does not have much experience with these providers.
Some programs are listed as "petitionable." This means the program is recommended, but not approved. Students interested in these programs, or students interested in enrolling in a program or overseas university not on this list, must read 'Credit and Petitioning.' Then make an appointment with Janna Behrens, Director of International Experience, to discuss the process.
