STUDENT DECLARATION OF INTENT TO STUDY ABROAD
DURING ACADEMIC YEAR 2008-2009

Note: Submission of this form will inform the College that you are planning to study abroad during Fall 2008, the 2008-2009 Academic Year, or Spring 2009. Should you change your mind and decide not to study abroad, it is your responsibility to notify the Director of International Experience as soon as you have made this decision.

Saturday, March 15, 2008 is the deadline if you plan to study abroad during Fall 2008 or the 2008-2009 Academic Year. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 is the deadline to submit this form if you plan to study abroad during Spring 2009. These are final and firm deadlines, no exceptions.

Before submitting this form, you must have declared your Academic Major. This may be done in the Office of the Registrar. If you have not declared your academic major(s) before submitting this form, we cannot process it. You MUST also meet with your academic advisor to dicuss how studying abroad fits into your Amherst education.

It is strongly suggested that you arrange an appointment with Dean Janna Behrens, the Director of International Experience, to review your study abroad plans. Her open hours are Mondays and Fridays from 2-4pm or call x2265 to make an appointment. Thank you.
