Tuesday, September 4 — First Semester Classes Begin

Valentine Hall open regular hours for all meals: Breakfast 7:30-11:00; Lunch 11:00-2:00; and Dinner 4:30-7:30.

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Form I-9 Processing, Office of Financial Aid, Converse Hall B-5.
& 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff in the Office of Financial Aid will be available to process required Federal I-9 forms for students who intend to work on campus. Work eligibility (e.g., Social Security card or birth certificate) and identification (e.g., driver's license or passport) documents are required to complete the I-9 forms.
   
Noon to 2:00 p.m. Student Employment Job Fair, Tent, Valentine Quad.
  Meet campus employers looking for student workers. Find out about job opportunities, talk to employers, and apply for work. Sponsored by the Student Employment Office.
   
6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Transfer Student Welcome Dinner, Mullins-Faerber Room, Lewis-Sebring.
  New transfer students are invited to a catered dinner sponsored by the Transfer Student Alliance. Meet other transfer students, class deans, and members of the faculty, while enjoying a delicious meal!
   
6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Introductory Crew Meeting, Campus Center Theater (Room 003).
   
7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Dorm Talks with Campus Police and Student Health Educators.
  All Residents of North, North Lounge.
   
7:00 to 7:30 p.m. Dorm Talks on Recycling
  For residents of James Floors 1 & 2, James 1st Floor Lounge.
Physical Plant representatives explain how recycling works on campus and the environmental impact. Discussion will take place on the purchasing of energy efficiency products such as fluorescent light bulbs and refrigerators that are part of the energy policy here at Amherst College.
