Privacy/Confidentiality of Library Records
The Amherst College Library endorses the American Library Association's Policy on Confidentiality of Library Records. The Library has implemented the ALA Code of Ethics, point III: "We protect each library user's right to privacy and confidentiality with respect to information sought or received, and materials consulted, borrowed, acquired or transmitted.''
