Catalogs
Find books and journal titles in the Four College Library Catalog (for Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke and Smith) from the Library's homepage; there is a separate UMass Catalog. You can search in the library catalogs by AUTHOR, by SUBJECT, by TITLE (or JOURNAL TITLE), or by KEYWORD. The SUBJECT choice requires the exact word or phrase chosen by libraries to define your topic. Try starting with KEYWORD and looking at the subjects assigned to items you retrieve.
