LIBRARY CATALOGS
The Four College Online Catalog finds books, magazines, and newspapers in the Amherst College Library and the other 4 Colleges. The UMass catalog is separate from the other four colleges and you connect to their catalog directly. Use an index (see next section) to find a specific newspaper, journal or magazine article on your topic. Then, look for the JOURNAL, MAGAZINE, OR NEWSPAPER TITLE (not the article title) in the Catalog.
You can search for books by KEYWORD, AUTHOR, TITLE or SUBJECT.
Pay close attention to Subject Headings (at the bottom) and use
the links to find more books on that topic.
