Unless otherwise noted, all physics seminars and colloquia are held on Thursdays from 4:45 to 6:00, in lecture room 3 of Merrill Science Center. Tea and snacks will be served before seminars at 4:15 in 204 Merrill. If you would like to be mailed seminar announcements, please send an email to .

Directions to the Amherst College Physics Department

When approaching from the NORTH, take Exit 24 off Interstate 91 to Route 116S. Proceed approximately ten miles to the junction of Route 9 and 116S. At traffic light, turn left (will see a "Staples" to the right of lights) and continue to the center of Amherst. Amherst College is to the right. Continue straight through the center of Amherst (there is a traffic light at the center, you are now on Route 9). Turn right onto the campus immediately before the railroad bridge overpass. Proceed straight (will see railroad tracks on left), then take second right. This will bring you to the Merrill Science Center parking lot. When approaching from the SOUTH, take Exit 19 off Interstate 91, turn right onto Route 9. Proceed aproximately six miles to the center of Amherst. Follow directions above from Amherst Center.
