Prism Magazine is Amherst College’s only theme-based publication dedicated to tackling social issues of the day through a variety of lenses. We are an established and widely read publication that offers the students, staff, and faculty of Amherst College a range of unique perspectives on both current and long-debated social issues. Prism is distributed twice a semester and distributed at each of the Five Colleges.
• Circulation: 1000 copies per 32-page issue (Note: Depending on advertisement revenue, circulation could increase substantially.)
• Print information: offset printing on folded 11” by 17” sheets of 50 lbs. white paper, with a full-color cover
• Print area available per page: 8” wide by 10 and 3/16” deep
Prism offers a number of options to its advertisers. We DO NOT put our advertisements on “ad pages” that readers will ignore.
Advertising space is sold by portion of the page. Rates and sizes are as follows:
1/8 page: 4” wide by 2.5” deep or 2.5” wide by 4” deep, $45
1/4 page: 4” wide by 5” deep or 5” wide by 4” deep, $75
1/2 page: 4” wide by 10” deep or 8” wide by 5” deep, $120
Full page: $175
Two page: $300
Back inside cover (glossy paper): $200
Front inside cover (glossy paper): $225
***10% discount for space purchased in two issues***
(Please note, the advertisement space for both issues must be purchased at the same time.)
Prism reserves the right to refuse any advertisement. No advertisement is considered accepted until publication. Camera-ready advertisements are due no later than the Thursday prior to publication. All advertisements are subject to the constraints of publication and printing. Payment is due no later than two weeks after the date of publication
Prism publishes four issues each year, to be distributed in October, December, March, and May.
