  • The print version of the 1927 Biographical Record is in the public domain.

  • My transcription, index, etc., are all copyright 1998-2000 Richard J. Yanco.

• My NESCAC football pages
  • Obviously, anything I link to from my football pages is owned by the owner of the website it is located on. The Wesleyan press releases were provided to me by Brian Katten (Wesleyan's S.I.D.), and are used (and archived) with permission. The Trinity press releases are archived on my site with the permission of David Kingsley. David Scribner, editor of the Berkshire Eagle, gave explicit permission to link to Eagle articles directly (rather than to their search engine).

  • I do claim copyright on the link compilation. While you're welcome to use my pages as "inspiration" for links you'd like on your page(s), please don't copy my pages outright. Link to them. That's what URL's are for.

  • If you know of link-friendly NESCAC football pages which I am overlooking, let me know. By "link-friendly," I mean: it's reasonably easy to link to the page, and the page will be up for a reasonable length of time. Newspaper articles that cost money or expire after two days obviously don't fall into this category. The Berkshire Eagle intentionally allows free access to its archives, which is why you see a lot of Eagle articles on my site. The Boston Globe unintentionally allowed access to their old articles once, but that was corrected sometime between the Fall of 1998 and the Fall of 1999, which is why you won't see Globe articles on my site anymore.

  • Links are not only welcomed, but encouraged.

• My other NESCAC pages
  • I didn't spend any inordinate amount of time on the pages for NESCAC sports (other than the football pages). Consequently, I'm sure you could do much better if you tried. If you make a page surpassing mine, let me know and I'll give you a link.

• Mother Goose illustrations.
  • By and large, the illustrations for the Mother Goose rhymes are from Charles H. Sylvester's Journeys Through Bookland, copyright 1922 by the Bellows-Reeve company (hence in the public domain since January 1, 1979). The illustrations are by (in order of appearance in the book) Lucille Enders, Donn P. Crane, Iris Wendell White, Herbert N. Rudeen, R. F. Babcock, Mildred Lyon, W. E. Scott, Marion Miller, Roy Appel. Most of the artists' names are shown in their illustrations.

  • You're welcome to take a few illustrations from my site for a personal page, provided that you (1) let me know in email and (2) make a link from your site to mine. Attribution would be nice but it is not necessary.

• Family pictures.
  • If you're related to me and want a copy of a family picture, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

  • If you're not related to me and want a copy of a family picture, you're weird.

• Poems, stories, etc.
  • The poems, stories, and letters on this site have all been typed or scanned in by me. Either way, I have put a lot of time and effort into them. Please do not copy the text and put it on your site. Either link to my site, or purchase a pre-1923 copy of the item you want and type/scan it in yourself. If you absolutely must grab something, then write me and I'll see what I can do.

  • I have made an effort to ensure that the text of the items on this site have fallen into the public domain: either I use books more than 75 years old or I notice that the author is more than 75 years dead (and the documents were published during or soon after the author's life). If something is on this site in error, please let me know. And again, my transcription of the items on this site is not in the public domain, so please don't be grabbin'. Thanks.
