Kat

Kat Libby has been singing forever, it seems, and years from now she will still be singing.  She has participated in select choral groups in the school system since she was ten. She spent one year in the elite women’s choir Musica de Filia, two years in her high school's a cappella Jazz Choir, four years in the Maine All-State Choir, and seven years in various musical theater productions. Kat sang during the intermissions of “Gypsy” and “Sound of Music;” She was a pit musician in four productions, playing first trombone in “Gypsy,” trombone and clarinet in “Guys & Dolls,” and synthesizer in “Footloose” and “Radio,” an original independent production by the Freeport Community Players of Maine. Kat appeared twice with the Highland Soles, a traditional Scottish group. She was the alto soloist in a regional concert of Mozart’s Coronation Mass. As a piano player, Kat has taken lessons since the age of six. In April 2007, she was the student accompanist for the South Portland High School Chamber Singers, who took second place in a New York City competition. In lighter news, she is also a regular participant in TubaChristmas, and is a secret fan of alternative rock. She’d like to thank her family and her Jon for all the love and support they’ve given her through the years.
