NESCAC Invite at Tufts by Amherst
October 15, 2000

REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: Sailed in Larks, wind was 2-12 kts and shifty, one capsize, 
no protests.  8 races sailed on triangle windward leeward courses.  Regatta was sailed 
and scored combined divisions, though final team scores are broken down by school.  
Trinity sailed in their first official regatta in nearly 2 years.

The NESCAC (New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference) is composed of Amherst, 
Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Conn College, Middlebury, Tufts, Trinity, Wesleyan, Williams 
(and Hamilton in MAISA).  While sailing is not a NESCAC sport, people wanted to put 
together a regatta for those schools anyway.  Hopefully there will be 100% attendance 
next fall.
