>REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
>In spite of an early regatta DSQ, the Naval Academy team sailed incredibly
>consistently, with only one other finish out of the top 4, to claim the
>unofficial Fall ICSA Dinghy Championship--the Timme Angsten Regatta.
>Second place went to Boston College.  University of Wisconsin rose up to
>3rd overall on the strength of its final day races and claim the MCSA's
>Fall Dinghy Championship Trophy.  Travis Weber of Navy won A Division and
>Parker Garrett of Navy won B Division.

>Friday was sunny with winds SW 2-8, temperatures in the mid-40's, 14 races
>were sailed.  Saturday was cloudy with later rain, winds E 6-12, temps in
>the mid-40's, 16 races were sailed.  Sunday was rainy, winds NW 6-8, temps
>in the mid-40's, 4 races were sailed.  Courses were Triangles, double and
>triple Windward-Leewards.  The regatta was sailed in 420's.  Navy DSQ in 2A
>for violating Rule 11.  Miami DSQ in 2B for violating Rule 18.2(a).  Boston
>College granted redress in 5A.

AMHERST HIGHLIGHTS: Amherst battled the shifty and unpredictable winds of
Belmont Harbor all weekend, as well as themselves and the post-partying
blues all weekend.  The A team of Beardsley and Rogers spun more 720s than
they'd like to admit (more than 5, less than 10), while the B team of
Krupinski and Watson had their moments in the 17 boat fleet, and struggled
to keep up their boatspeed in the light air.
