Six pool records fell as Amherst men's and women's swimming and diving handily defeated Wesleyan. The women won 192-107, while the Jeff men dominated 202.5-92.5.
Amherst's Kerry Weeks broke three more records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, as well as the 400 IM with times of 1:08.88, 2:29.62 and 4:39.99, respectively. All three times were B-cut qualifying times for the National Championships. The team of Sarah Moran, Sarah Olson, Elise DeRiel and Katrin Stuehmeier also shattered the pool record in the 800-freestyle relay by almost nine seconds with a time of 8:06.85.
Wesleyan's Emily Rauscher also broke the pool record in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:09.56, enough for a B-cut for Nationals.
The Amherst men kicked off the meet with a splash as the team of Adam Kerstein, Bryan Luke, Flori Fischetti and Brian Porter broke the pool record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.02. Patrick Lahey then took half a second off of the 100 breaststroke record by clocking a time of 1:00.47.
In diving, senior co-captain Becky Watson and sophomore Matt Smith both gained their second qualifying scores for Nationals.
