AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Rookie Natalie Weber (Aurora, CO) capped off Amherst scoring with her first collegiate goal with 3:46 to play on Orr Rink against Skidmore College. Weber's tally was the 12th Lord Jeff goal that pushed Amherst to 4-3 on the season.
All 11 active skaters contributed to the Amherst offense, led by rookie Gretchen Bowe with seven points off a pair of goals and handful of assists. Senior Val Klein (Philadelphia, PA) notched her first collegiate goal 2:31 into the match and went on to a hat trick for the Jeffs.
Skidmore notched the Thoroughbreds' lone goal on a Jen Taylor redirection of a Kaley Weeks shot. Netminder Simmone Bonneville made 42 saves against the Jeffs.
Amherst next travels to archrival Williams on Wednesday for a 7:30pm face-off.
