Megan Brown '95

First, I'd like to say how glad I am that this alumni page is finally getting organized, especially since I wasn't able to attend the Class of 1995 reunion extravaganza, and I haven't been a very diligent correspondent with WAMH folks in general. A brief synopsis of recent and current events in my life: after I spent most of the five years since graduation living in two of America's greatest cities (New York and San Francisco), I now live in one of its most uncreatively named and pretty much nondescript towns: State College, Pennsylvania. Before returning to academia at Penn State, I worked at two publishing houses and one frighteningly large consulting firm. I also did freelance writing for a few music magazines, and thus had the opportunity to interview a few WAMH favorites, including Luna, Morphine (R.I.P.), Lou Barlow, and a very hungover Elliott Smith. Nowadays, my time is spent working toward a PhD in English, and teaching the fundamentals of rhetoric and composition to college students who are too young to remember Duran Duran.
