The United States Army Air Corps 65th Training Detachment AAF TTC "C" Pre-Meteorology Group of Amherst College had in its ranks over 250 men sent to Amherst to learn the basics, so that they could go on to become Meteorologists. The program was 12 months in length and 141 graduated. From many in this group it has been heard that it was "a year that changed our lives."
