EDWARD N. NEY
CLASS OF 1946
I like to work, so am still at it. Came back from Canada in 1992 and became Chairman, Board of Advisors, Burson-Marsteller/New York. B-M is the largest P.R. company in the world, and a part of Young & Rubicam, a company I've been associated with since 1951. Recently, became Chairman of Marsteller Advertising - which used to be a very good agency, and then became part of Young & Rubicam, and its name has not been seen since the early SO's. I am also on three corporate Boards in both Canada and the U.S.
But, our 50th is all about Amherst. Like Ted Cross, I'm now a Trustee Emeritus of the College - and was lucky enough to be present when Tom Gerety was interviewed for the Presidency of Amherst. He did a great job then and has continued in making Amherst a paradigm for excellence in faculty, students, discourse, and administration.
We are the lucky ones to have attended this great College, and what fun it will be to make it back to our 50th, God willing. Am bringing my tennis racket and lots of Advil.
