Parsons Memorial

Parsons Dinner

July 21, 2006

Classmates,

On July 18, 2006 we lost one of our most loyal classmates, and the college lost an ardent supporter. Jud Parsons died peacefully in his sleep after finally losing his brave and ongoing battle to progressive multiple sclerosis. Jud was the creator of the famous New York annual dinners which have now been duplicated around the country, as shown above at the right.

Those of us who attended the 55th were indeed fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend those few happy days with Jud at the Phi Psi house, enjoying lunches, dinners, and many of the lectures and class events. Jud was an active and, as usual, a very interesting participant. He will be sorely missed by all of us, and I know that you all join with me in offering our deep sympathy to his wife Chesley and everyone that Jud leaves behind.

For any of you who would like to personally express your feelings directly to Chesley, her telephone number is 908-277-3077. Her address is 36 Baltusrol Road, Summit, NJ 07901.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on July 28 in Summit, NJ, at the United Methodist Church.

As ever,

Gary Holmanimage
