Writing While Researching: from Annotation to Draft
After immersing themselves in gathering and reading sources, scholars often find it difficult to start writing and thus convince themselves that they can’t begin until they find “just one more article” or until that Interlibrary Loan arrives from Australia. This workshop offers several strategies for writing as you research, to help you articulate what you have found as well as to develop your own ideas along the way. Ultimately, these approaches will not only save you time and effort but, once it comes time to start a draft, you will actually already be revising, rather than facing a blank screen.
