Frank Receives Literary Grant

AMHERST, Mass. - Judith Frank, associate professor of English at Amherst College, has received the Astraea Foundation's Emerging Lesbian Writers' Fund fiction grant for the year 2000. Judith Frank, who has taught at Amherst since 1988 and been director of the Creative Writing Program, will use the $10,000 grant to help fund a one-year sabbatical, during which she hopes to complete her first novel, Crybaby Butch.
