AMHERST, Mass.—The Amherst College Jazz Ensemble will hold its winter concert on Friday, December 11, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the ArmsMusicCenter at AmherstCollege.
The ensemble will be directed by Bruce Deihl and will perform the music of 2007 McBride Jazz Commission Series composer Santiago Cerda, as well as the work of UMass music professor Jeff Holmes, Kurt Weill, Fred Sturn, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington and others.
