To reach the Admission Office:

  • Follow the driving directions below. When you reach the intersection of Rtes. 9 and 116 (at the top of the hill), take Rte. 116 south away from the Town green. Stay on Rte. 116 for a few blocks before turning left into the circular driveway in front of the Office of Admission. (Note: The Office of Admission and the Athletic Complex share a very large, semicircular driveway. Both ends of this driveway open onto Rte. 116. This is a one-way driveway; cars should enter at the southern point, near the gym, and exit at the northern point, near the Octagon hill. Following the directions above, you will actually go past the Admission Office on your left, then turn left into the driveway and come back.)
  • The Admission Office has a limited number of parking spaces for visitors directly in front of the Admission Office. If all the visitor parking spaces are taken, please obtain a parking pass from the Admission receptionist, which will allow you to park in the Orr Hockey Rink lot located nearby.
  • Due to extensive construction work, parking spaces are in short supply at Amherst, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you receive a parking ticket while parked on the Amherst College campus, please bring it to the Admission receptionist and we will take care of it for you.
