Documentary Musical Ethnographies: A Presentation by Music 19: Pioneer Valley Soundscapes

Students from the course Music 19: Pioneer Valley Soundscapes will present their documentary musical ethnographies based on music throughout the Pioneer Valley. The presentation is at 4:30 on Thursday, December 10 in Pruyne Lecture Hall in Fayerweather. The students in the course have documented reggae music in Amherst and Shutesbury, sounds of Catholic worship in Holyoke, Jibaro music in Holyoke and Westfield, Sacred Harp Singing in Western Massachusetts, and Estey organs in the Pioneer Valley.
