2010 Community Engagement Orientation Trip: Meet the Trip Leaders
This year’s trip leaders hail from states as close as New York and Connecticut to countries as distant as Guam and Kenya. They participate in rugby, karate, wrestling, and cricket teams; they play in orchestras, act in plays, and sing in a capella groups. Many tutor in community partnership organizations, lead affinity groups, serve on advisory boards, and coordinate campus events. Yet what brings them together is a strong ability and willingness to foster the culture of community engagement while having a blast with the college’s newest arrivals. Meet this talented group and find out why they're passionate about community engagement.
The community engagement orientation trip is a fun, challenging, and intensive trip where you will be able to get to know other students who are interested in learning about community work and the communities around Amherst. Are you interested in participating? Space is limited and registration is required. Register for the 2010 trip and get answers to your questions about this introduction to community engagement at Amherst.
