Civic Engagment Scholars Deadline

The Civic Engagement Scholars program (CES) is an intensive program that offers current first-years, sophomores, and juniors the chance to connect their academic programs of study with transformative public service opportunities. This program supports student leaders that are dedicated to creating a socially and environmentally just world.

The CES application process is highly selective. Students who are accepted into the CES program will receiving summer funding for their public service internship. The program is able to offer internship funding through the generous support of the Argosy Foundation, John Abele ’59, and many other generous alumni.

Civic Engagement Scholars have turned their summer internship experiences into honor theses, special topics courses, and careers. Students in the CES program have found the opportunity to connect their academic lives with the hands-on experiences of internships to be fundamentally transformative.

The 2013 CES application opens March 1. The deadline for all CES applications is April 1.
