About Amherst Select

Amherst Select is a collaborative summer internship program coordinated by the Center for Community Engagement, the Career Center, and Alumni and Parent Programs. It features internship opportunities sponsored by alumni, parents, and friends of Amherst College. As a program, it covers a broad range of internship opportunities in a variety of fields. Internships range in length from 8-10 weeks.

Students apply to Amherst Select during the fall semester and, if accepted, search and apply for summer internships during spring semester. Amherst Select is open to current first-years, sophomores, and juniors.

How to apply

The procedure to apply for Amherst Select is detailed on the Career Center's website. The application deadline is November 2, 2012.

Funding

Some internships include funding from the CCE, while others offer funding from the employer. Some internships are unpaid. Details about stipends are available in individual job descriptions on Quest.
