Grinspoon Award Application
The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Initiative recognizes current students and alumni within five years of graduation with monetary awards who demonstrate what Harold Grinspoon refers to as "the entrepreneurial spirit.” There are two types of awards:
- Concept Awards are for pre-revenue business (i.e. concept must be substantially developed but some work may still be needed before business is initiated).
- Spirit Awards recognize entrepreneurial spirit. They are not seed money and, as such, there are no stipulations associated with the award. Recipients must have substantially started a for-profit business.
Amherst College will nominate at least two individuals. Awards range from $300-$1,500. This is a great opportunity to market ideas and meet fellow Grinspoon Spirit Award winners. To be considered for an award, you must first be nominated by Amherst College. The HGCF EI Advisory Committee makes the final decision regarding award recipients.
