August 28, Tuesday. New student orientation begins; first-year residences open at 9 a.m.
September 1, Saturday. Residences open for upper-class students at 9 a.m. (Keys at the McCaffrey Room in the Keefe Campus Center during Center Hours—at Campus Police after hours.)
September 3, Monday. Opening Convocation.
September 4, Tuesday. Fall semester classes begin.
September 13, Thursday. Last day to add/drop courses for fall semester.
October 6-9, Saturday-Tuesday. Midsemester break. Residence halls and dining hall remain open but with limited services.
October 10, Wednesday. Monday classes will be held.
October 14, Sunday. Deadline for spring 2019 readmission applications.
October 17, Wednesday. Midsemester grades due in Registrar’s Office.
October 19, Friday. Last day for first-, second-, and third-year students to obtain permission to withdraw from a course without penalty. Last day for Class of 2019E to take comprehensive exams.
October 29-November 2, Monday-Friday. Advising Week.
October 31, Wednesday. Deadline for students to apply for spring 2019 withdrawal and off-campus housing.
November 2-4. Friday-Sunday. Family Weekend.
November 5-9, Monday-Friday. Preregistration for spring semester.
November 9-11, Friday-Sunday. Homecoming Weekend.
November 17-25, Saturday-Sunday. Thanksgiving vacation. Dining Hall opens for breakfast on Nov. 26. Residence Halls are open but with limited services.
November 30, Friday. Deadline to submit spring 2019 study abroad, educational leave, and special program proposals.
December 11, Tuesday. 2019E Senior honors theses and recommendations for honors due in Registrar’s Office.
December 12, Wednesday. Last day of fall semester classes. Deadline for Class of 2021E to declare major at Registrar’s Office.
December 13-16, Thursday-Sunday. Reading/Study period.
December 17-21, Monday-Friday. Fall semester examination period. Dining hall closes after dinner Friday.
December 21, Friday. Students not on campus for spring 2019 must vacate residence halls by 5 p.m.
December 22-January 21, Saturday-Monday. Residence halls are open but with limited services. Students staying for some or all of this time should register with the Office of Residential Life.

January 2, Wednesday. Fall semester grades due on ACData.
January 7-25, Monday-Friday. Interterm. Dining hall reopens with breakfast on Jan. 7.
January 3, Thursday. Online Room selection for students returning to campus from absence during fall 2018.
January 16, Wednesday. Students returning to campus after fall 2017 absence may access housing at 9 a.m.
January 22, Tuesday. Spring semester classes begin at Mount Holyoke College and the University of Massachusetts.
January 23, Wednesday. Spring semester classes begin at Hampshire College.
January 24, Thursday. Spring semester classes begin at Smith College.
January 28, Monday. Spring semester classes begin at Amherst College.
February 6, Wednesday. Last day to add/drop courses for spring semester.
February 28, Thursday. Deadline for students to submit applications for room draw and 2019-20 off-campus housing. Deadline for fall 2019 readmission applications. Deadline for upperclass students to apply to renew financial aid.
March 8, Friday. Last day for graduating seniors to take comprehensive exams. Last day for first-, second-, and third-year students to obtain permission to withdraw from a course without penalty. Mid-term grades due. Dining hall closes after dinner.

May 8, Wednesday. Deadline for Class of 2019 to declare major. Senior Assembly.
May 9, Thursday. Deadline for RCs to post summer storage hours.
May 9-12, Thursday-Sunday. Reading/Study Period.
May 13-17, Monday-Friday. Spring semester examination period, ends 5 p.m. Friday. Last meal for undergraduates will be dinner on May 17.
May 18, Saturday. Residences close for non-graduating students at 2 p.m.
May 20, Monday. Senior grades due at 9 a.m.
May 22, Wednesday. Grades due for non-seniors at 4 p.m.
May 26, Sunday. Commencement. Residences close for graduates at 5 p.m.
May 29-June 2, Wednesday-Sunday. Alumni Holiday and Reunion.
