2023 Folger Undergraduate Fellows are Regina Deri ‘25, Xe Enfys ‘25, Christian Pattavina ‘24, Cole Warren ‘24, Imari Yasuno ‘24, and Rachel Zhu ‘24. In January, these Fellows worked with staff members from the Folger Institute (the research department of the Folger Shakespeare Library) to develop their research questions while navigating the library’s distinctive collection. The fellowship also included training on the fundamentals of researching an archive and on presenting research findings to an audience.

The program culminates in a panel presentation by the fellows during a CHI Salon on February 15 at 4:30 p.m. Ashley Buchanan, Folger Institute's Associate Director of Fellowships, will moderate the event.

The Amherst–Folger Fellowship program began in 1996 and now awards as many as six student fellowships each year through funds provided by the Friends of the Amherst College Library. The program is overseen at Amherst by the Center for Humanistic Inquiry.
