Driving Directions to Amherst College

From Bradley International Airport/or from points South of Northampton

When leaving the airport follow signs to I-91 North. Take 91 North into Massachusetts all the way to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst/Hadley exit). At the bottom of the ramp make a Right onto Rt. 9 towards Hadley, Amherst. Go over the bridge and continue on Rt 9 for a few miles. Pass the Hampshire Mall, Staples, Friendly's restaurant and up the hill to the traffic light. Go straight thru the traffic light and make your first left onto Boltwood Walk (to go to the Lord Jeffrey Inn, just up a short way on the right side of Boltwood Walk). Continue to the next left and Clark House is on the corner of Route 9 and Seelye Street (Political Science Department Office).

From Boston to Amherst:

Take the Mass Pike to the West Springfield Exit or I-91 North. Take I-91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst/Hadley exit). At the bottom of the ramp make a Right onto Rt. 9 towards Hadley, Amherst. From Points North of Amherst/Northampton:

Take I-91 South to exit 24 (Deerfield/Sunderland/Whately exit). Off the exit ramp make a left onto Rts. 5 & 10. At the traffic light make a Right onto Rt. 116 towards Sunderland. Follow Rt. 116 straight out to Rt. 9. Make a left onto Rt. 9 at the traffic light in front of Staples. Pass Friendly's restaurant on right and the hill to the traffic light. Go straight thru the traffic light and make your first left onto Boltwood Walk (to go to the Lord Jeffrey Inn, just up a short way on the right side of Boltwood Walk). Continue to the next left and Clark House is on the corner of Route 9 and Seelye Street (Political Science Department Office).
