Amherst College New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on Higher Education (CIHE) Accreditation Site

Welcome to the Amherst College Accreditation web site. This site provides information about accreditation and documents and links related to this process.  Colleges in the New England region have a regular ten-year cycle of review by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE), a division of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).  The process includes an interim review at the midpoint of the ten-year cycle. NEASC’s Statement on the Value of Accreditation provides useful general information about accreditation.
