The fifth Annual Arabic Night.

Our guest speaker will be Professor John Eisele, Professor and Director of Arabic Studies Program, College of William and Mary. The event will also feature the launch of The Common’s special issue of contemporary Arabic Fiction Tajdeed (Renewal) in addition to live Arabic music performed by the “Layaali” music ensemble, Middle Eastern dinner and student performances.

Please also announce this event to your friends, classmates, acquaintances, or anyone. There will also be a musical performance during the program:

Time: 1:30~3:30 (Reception follows)

Place:  Converse Hall, the Cole Assembly Room (aka “Red Room”), 1st floor, Amherst College

Directions:

By car: enter the college from Rt. 116 and take the first left. Converse Hall is on the right.

By bus: the bus stop of the Amherst campus is very near Converse – when getting off the bus, Converse is the first building you see on the right.

Parking: 

If there is space in front of Converse, you may park along the green (but not along Converse). You can also park in the parking lot at the side of Converse (i.e., behind the bus stop), facing College Street.

Metered parking can be found near the Lord Jeffrey Inn on Boltwood Avenue.
