December 9, 2022 - First Chapter
First chapter of your thesis is due to your thesis advisor.
April 14, 2023 - Thesis
Please submit your thesis electronically to blackstudies@amherst.edu.
April 24 - 28, 2023 - Thesis Defense Dates
Thesis students will defend their defense (an hour long) according to faculty and student availability.
May 11, 2023 - Final Submission
Final submission to the Registrar's Office and Department Office.
Students will be responsible to incorporate the changes or corrections in their theses suggested during the virtual examination and to submit final, corrected copies, electronically to the Registrar's Office (the official college copy) and to the Black Studies office.
